Yes, I did say work. It just
isn't true that you can be rolling in thousand-dollar
bills without doing anything. If that was the
case, everyone would be doing it! You'll decide
for yourself how much time you want to put in,
but I average about 20 hours a week. That leaves
me plenty of time to enjoy life!
What
do I have to do to be a success?
1. Home based businesses
are one of the fastest growing segments of the
economy. Unfortunately, most people who start
an on line home business forget about the learning
curve. There are many people who have been successfully
marketing on line for years. Many of them are
very rich. But be careful,
some of them may have just started their business
yesterday, but they will never tell you that.
When I started my goal was to
move my insurance business from a physical location
to the internet. As I soon as I began to look
at other products to market in conjunction with
the insurance, I was overwhelmed with offers and
promises that this opportunity IS THE ONE!
My goal is to guide you and advise you as to which
opportunities may really be good and which ones
to run away from.
2. You must commit yourself
to building you won business, and remember this
is a business. You must put in the time and effort
and be willing to learn the basic tools of internet
marketing or you will not be successful. If you
are willing to commit and to learn, you can achieve
the wealth goal you seek.
3. Only associate yourself
with opportunities that offer you a strong support
system. If the program features a comprehensive
set of learning tools you should consider this
opportunity. If the program offers no support
and nothing but an on line ad you probably will
be wasting your time and will not make any money
from that program.
4. As an entrepreneur
you will have to learn to work independently.
Look for the programs that offer you support.
You should be able to contact the person who brought
you into the program or who are running the program.
If there is no contact information, don't by the
program.
5. Almost every
program advertising on line promises that "if
you only buy this opportunity" you will be
making money by the end of the week. This is simply
not true.
But some programs do work faster than others,
so if you want some insider information on the
best to start quickly, I can help you with that.

twelve years I owned and operated a successful
health insurance agency. But the hours were long

Why am I
telling you all of these things about myself and
my thought process?
Since you
are at this site, you are investigating home business
opportunities. It's been said that every 11 seconds
someone starts a home-based business, but how
many of them succeed? I've been there, done that
myself, and I'd like to save you some time, trouble,
and money. Before you go any further, I'd like
to tell you what to watch out for. Too many people
leap at those too-good-to-be-true business scams,
waste their money, and end up feeling plain foolish.
Here's
a checklist of things to watch out
for when you look at home-based business ventures:

Is the program an MLM marketing plan? .
I don't personally like MLM programs but
every on line opportunity has some MLM elements.
For instance, affiliate marketing is huge
and not technically MLM but you are sharing
your profits with someone else. Not always
a bad thing.
Does the business require you to purchase
a large inventory up front and stock it
at your home so you can fulfill orders.
Are you required to host parties or meetings
or seminars?
I don't think this is what you really want
and it has a very low success rate.
Do you really want to annoy your friends
and family members by asking them to buy
your products, or bombarding them with constant
sales pitches about how much money they
can make by purchasing a distributorship
from you and then proceeding to annoy their
friends? People who have done that often
find themselves unwilling (and sometimes
unknowing) members of the NFL - the No
Friends Left Club. Don't worry, with
this business you won't have to be embarrassed
by your friends avoiding you.
Does the business you're considering require
you to host meetings at hotels, where you
pitch your product to people who just came
for the free dinner? Do you have to make
cold sales calls by phone or in person to
people who have no interest? It's no
fun to live from hotel to hotel, and while
making cold sales calls takes considerable
courage, we think it is just asking for
rejection.
Will the business your looking at require
you to send millions of emails. If you really
want to be successful, it probably will.
But associate yourself with a company that
shows you how. When done correctly it is
one of the least expensive and most profitable
parts of your business.
Does your business offer to help you get
started? Or will you be left to yourself
as soon as you send in your money. As I
told you before, good, solid and easily
available support is one of the main keys
to success. I'll show you which businesses
don't just take your money and abandon you.
There are many different types of on line
opportunities. What you should pick will
depend on you, your goals, your personality
and the investment you want to make to start
up a business. There are plenty of opportunities
for everyone. I'll be happy to help you
sort of what may be best for your own situation.

level or business experience is necessary for
you to be every bit as successful as hundreds
of college graduates and experienced business
people who gave the corporate world the boot,
took charge of their lives, and got what they
